Tomorrow is the NFL draft... where the teams all sit in a room and pick players that have come out of college. It's now televised (all 2 days). It's one of my goals to attend the NFL draft someday. For those that don't understand why you'd wanna go watch a bunch of players get called up and sent back down, just think of it as like the Oscars, except you don't hafta hear speeches. And there's a lot more strategy in teams trading and stuff.
This year is especially interesting. As I blogged before, Joe Thomas is expected to go in the top 5 picks. He's an offensive lineman out of my alma mater, Wisconsin, but also my high school, Brookfield Central. Even better, instead of being at the draft, he's going fishing with his dad on Lake Michigan. And they're gonna have cameras with him.
I wish I had a high school jersey I could wear as I meet up with Tom tomorrow to watch the draft...
