What's the significance of this?

OK, hang with me non-baseball fans... you'll appreciate this blog entry too.

The MLB Futures game was played today, where an all star cast of minor league top prospects get to showcase their stuff. Well, the MVP of the game is pictured here:

In the third inning, he reached base on a single. So what's the significance of this? Well, this guy's name is Chin-Lung Hu. So, for the first time in baseball history, you could say...

HU's ON FIRST!

that's awesome!!! I was thinking that the significance was the first Chinese position player (not even sure if that's true).

I looked it up, there was a player named Eddie Watt who played from 66-75. Too bad he isn't playing now, or we could have a Hu's on first and
Watt's on second.
