OK, no real problem, but I wanted to blog about my trip to Houston! It was freakin' hot, it's only May and it's in the 90's. I was there to attend my friend Amit's wedding... He and his wife had met at an Asian/Pacific American meeting out in Sacramento (I blogged about Amit and the Sacramento trip in this anecdote) and a little more than a year later, they're married! It was funny because they barely talked to each other in Sacramento... Amit, another co-worker, and I were comparing notes on the women-folk there, and we all agreed that he should go after her. Apparently it all worked out!
So fast forward another year... It was quite interesting to attend an Indian wedding. There were three ceremonies (I attended two). I even got invited to dance. Luckily there was another white guy who was there too, so it made me feel better about my dancing skills (and lack of Indian-ness). If I get courageous enough, I might post it.
Amit had a little sister... their relationship reminded me a lot of me and my little sister! She gave a wonderful speech about her big brother, and it reminded me that I will be giving one in a few months for my little sister's wedding!
Funny quote:
Q: Which one is Amit's sister?
A: The one that looks like Amit, except hot.
In Houston, I was able to make one stop at Tapioca Express and got my cup of honey milk bubble tea. Mmmm, those tapioca pearls tasted really good! Plus they had really good appetizery spicy chicken. Gosh I was there were enough Chinese people (or at least other people who would like it) to warrant one opening here.

Sounds like a great trip! we do want to see those pictures! :) i ROARED when i read the commetn that there was another white guy there who lacked dancing skills.
Wait--Dale CAN dance, he swung me around at Karen and Jims wedding. Is it he can only swing dance??
I will pretend to be Chinese to get one of those coffee houses to open here. I would like to try the bubble tea. :)
I'll hafta get the video and you can judge for yourself
He has been known to clunk girl's heads on the ground during extraordinary swing moves, though. That was you, wasn't it, Dale? :)
Aww, a brotherly speech for Linda!
