Well, don't have anything really inspiring to say, but I figured I haven't blogged for a while, so I'll write up some stuff in bullet points...
- Thanks to help from Tom S. and my cousin, I've gotten over the hump for programming my textbook website. It's now semi-presentable! Too bad none of you are potential customers anymore. Anyways, if you feel like it, check it out at notthebookstore.com and feel free to give me feedback.
- One site I've found useful to keep track of all the blogs I'm reading is bloglines.com. It shows you when something new has been posted to a blog. Thanks Dean for that tip (Dean seems to be quite on top of things when it comes to useful websites... he's the one that introduced to me to quizyourfriends.com too. It's pretty fun if you haven't tried it).
- Musicals have been a fun part of my life, even played an acting role in The King and I when I was 8 (they were pretty hard up for Asian kids for that show in Wisconsin). I always wondered what it'd be like if life were one big musical, where you'd stop and burst into song and choreography at random points. Well, for those of you reading this who know Jenny J, (Jen, or Jenny, or whatever, is just gushing about her new boyfriend Tom (not Tom S)). I totally can see her life stopping and breaking into the song "Hello Young Lovers" from the King and I. Anna passes a picture of her husband, Tom, to all of the ladies around her, and each one takes turns looking at it and starts singing "Tom... Tom!... Tom... Tom" and of course, music starts playing, and Anna starts the song...
When I think of Tom.
I think about a night.
When the earth smelled of summer
And the sky was streaked with white,
And the soft mist of England
Was sleeping on a hill-
I remember this,
And I always will...
Skipping to the Chorus:
Hello young lovers, whoever you are,
I hope your troubles are few.
All my good wishes go with you tonight,
I've been in love like you.
OK, my prose probably doesn't do it justice. You'll just have to get it from ITunes. :)
(Tom S, this is what Megan probably sings to herself every night)

i looked like an idiot laughing like i was when i read this post. Quiet funny! now i'm thinking about life as a musical!
I agree, most entertaining.
Thanks Dale. While my life does have it's own soundtrack (I frequently think of The Family Guy episode where Peter gets his own soundtrack), I can't say that I've thought of the King and I in quite a while.
I love the first movie with Yule Brenner, had to have watched it a billion times as a kid, since it was one of my mom's favorites.
Hahaha!!!
Too funny Dale! Life as a musical would be fun!!
If they really sang that, they would be the awesomemest.
I remember watching that musical at BCHS. You guys did a great job.
Sorry about the deleted comment. I thought it would be cleaner to delete and repost instead of posting twice, but apparently I have stained your wall forever.
