BREWERS WIN BREWERS WIN BREWERS WIN

NOW I can talk about it! Brewers are in the playoffs for the first time in my memory! The Brewers ride CC Sabathia for a big win today, Ryan Braun hits the game winner in the 9th inning, the Mets lose, and the Brewers are playing in game 1 on Wednesday!

Amazing year! The Sabathia trade is one of the most genius trades in history... of mankind, not just baseball. It's right up there after the Red Sox selling Babe Ruth and the Alaskan purchase.

11-2, 1.65 ERA after the trade... he'd be cleaning up the Cy Young and MVP had he not changed leagues.

Good luck to the Brew Crew, I'll be rooting for them all the way (unless they meet the Red Sox in the World Series).

Dale - mostly I am happy the Brewers knocked the Mets out - but I am happy for you, too.

Tom, I'll take it!

Just what I need, more Red Sox fans. I would yell at Dean saying he's lived in Wisconsin longer than Boston, but then again I've been living in Cinci for 8 years and still a die hard Brewers fan.

Late post - there was a caller on the Cubs' postgame show Sunday talking about what a difference the CC Sabathia trade has made in baseball as a whole. I.e., in terms of Chicago, the Sox probably wouldn't be in the playoffs because they wouldn't have been able to beat the Indians. Not that I'm a Sox fan. :-)
